Guests and representatives from the governments of Jiangsu Province, Hong Kong and Macao, as well as 33 member universities, met online and offline to witness the establishment of the Jiangsu-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance today (16 December) at Nanjing University.

With the support of the Ministry of Education, the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, and other authorities and government departments of the three places, the alliance is a high-quality and sustainable platform for inter-university collaboration led by Nanjing University and jointly initiated by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and the University of Macau (UM). With Nanjing University as the first chair and PolyU, UM and Nanjing Normal University as the first vice-chairs, the alliance is dedicated to promoting collaborative development of higher education in the three places.

The establishment ceremony was followed by a higher education summit, which was chaired by UM Rector Yonghua Song.
