In order to welcome more outstanding international students to pursue their studies at UM, the University has established the International Student Scholarship which provides tuition and accommodation fee waiver for the awardees during their normal period of study (subject to annual continuation).

Students who have studied in an elementary/primary school, high/secondary school or higher institution outside China (i.e. outside mainland China, Macao SAR, Hong Kong SAR and Taiwan region) will be prioritized.

Eligibility
  • International applicants of full-time Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes (excluding executive degree programmes) of UM who meet the following requirements are eligible to apply for the Scholarship:
    • valid foreign passport holders; and
    • fulfill admission requirements of the respective degree programme.

Candidates applied and admitted through Joint Admission Examination for Macao Four Higher  Education Institutions will not be considered for the Scholarship.

Scholarship Package

Waiver of:

o   Tuition fee;
o    Residential College fee (shared bedroom);
o    Honours College certificate programme fee (if applicable); and
o   Minor programme fee (if applicable).

 Waiver of:

o   Tuition fee; and
o   Postgraduate House (twin room) fee.
The maximum term of the Scholarship  Normal study period of the admitted programme, which is 4 or 5 years Normal study period of the admitted programme, which is 2 or 3 years

How to Apply?

Eligible applicants will receive a “call-for-application” email upon completion of application for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme. The applicant will need to submit the Scholarship application online via the link specified in the email.
