Semester Exchange Programmes

Specific requirements for exchange vary according to the exchange programme. Here are some of the basic requirements.

• Full-time Students with good academic and disciplinary standing;
• Undergraduate student must complete one year of study at UM by the time of departure;
• Postgraduate student must complete one semester of study at UM by the time of departure;
• Satisfactory English language proficiency as required by both UM and the partner institution; and
• Specific criteria set by faculty and host institution, if any.

Students who are interested in applying Exchange or Study Abroad Programmes (including University Level and Faculty Level) should make applications via the “Outbound Exchange and Scholarship Application System” before application deadline. 

University Level Exchange Programme (Operated by GAO)

University Level Exchange Programmes are open to all UM students.

1. Log in to the Outbound Exchange and Scholarship Application https://isw.um.edu.mo/seas
2. Fill in the requested information together with the following supporting documents
   • Curriculum Vitae
   • Learning agreement [Download Form]
   • Travel document to Mainland & ID copy (for exchange to Mainland Universities only)
   • Other supporting documents, if any (e.g. certificate, awards, language proficiency)

Note:

• Hard copy or e-mail submissions will NOT be accepted.

 Faculty Level Exchange Programme (Operated by Faculties)

Students may also consider joining the exchange programmes offered by your Faculty/Institute. Applications should be make via the “Outbound Exchange and Scholarship Application System” . Application arrangement is subject to latest announcements from respective Faculties/Institute.
