To enhance the cooperation in talent development, research and cultural exchange between universities in Macao SAR and the mainland of China, Ministry of Education of China extended the reach of “Ten Thousand Talent Programme” to 5 pilot institutions (including UM) in Macao. The Scheme provides funding to higher education institutions in the mainland of China to support Macao students and teachers to participate in exchange and academic programmes in mainland.
Every year, mainland institutions announce a series of programmes to be held in summer and winter break, including summer courses, cultural programmes, social activities and academic competitions. Global Affairs Office will announce the contents and open application for the programmes in mid-semester time (February – April; September – November, subjected to the time-frame provided by mainland universities).
