A delegation attending the award ceremony for the Macao Science and Technology Awards today (8 October) visited the University of Macau (UM) and was warmly received by UM Rector Prof Wei Zhao and Vice Rector (Research) Prof Rui Martins. Led by China’s Vice Minister of Science and Technology Li Meng, the delegation visited UM Wu Yee Sun Library and UM’s research facilities. Rector Wei Zhao told the guests about UM’s milestones, latest developments, and strategies for future development. State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI Director Rui Martins, Vice Director U Seng Pan, and State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine Director Wang Yitao told the guests about UM’s research direction, research results, personnel training, and various collaborative projects. Li expressed confidence in UM’s ability to achieve the goal of becoming a world-class university.
