The Second Forum for Presidents of Higher Education Institutions of China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries (2.a Edição do Fórum dos Reitores das Instituições do Ensino Superior da China e dos Países de Língua Portuguesa) was held on 22 October. The Forum was organised by City University of Macau, and co-organised by the Education and Youth Development Bureau of Macao, University of Macau, Polytechnic University of Macau, Macau University of Science and Technology, City University of Macau, and University of Saint Joseph. With the theme of “International Cooperation Strategies in Higher Education between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries under the Pandemic”, the forum adapted the online-and-offline hybrid format and conducted in Chinese and Portuguese. Approximately 200 participants attended the opening ceremony and online forum.
UM Rector Yonghua Song and Vice-Rector (Global Affairs) Rui Martins and a number of UM staff and students participated in the opening ceremony and joined the discussion sessions to explore international cooperation in higher education as well as its innovation and challenges with leaders and experts from higher education and entities in China and the PSCs.
