On March 27, Mr. Pascual Nsue Eyi Asangono, Contact person for Equatorial Guinea, Director of Justice, Consular Affairs and Overseas Chinese Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Equatorial Guinea, and his delegation paid a courtesy visit to UM and was warmly received by Vice Rector(Global Affairs) Rui Martins, Director of Global Affairs Office Ruibing Wang and other UM representatives.
Through this meeting, UM will further establish connections and cooperation with universities in Equatorial Guinea, and promote student exchanges between the two regions. The University of Macau provides scholarships for international undergraduate students, master students, as well as for doctoral students, and hope to attract more students from Equatorial Guinea to study at the University of Macau.
The delegation had a campus tour and visited the University Gallery. Functional Head of Global Affairs Office Ms. Kiran Lei introduced the history of UM and its development in front of UM model. Members of delegation included German Ekua Sima Abaga, Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea to China, Cristina Mangue Abeso, Representative of Equatorial Guinea of Forum Macao and Clarencio Ndong Nguema Obono, Press Attaché of the Embassy of Equatorial Guinea in Beijing.
