A delegation led by Cao Xuetao, vice minister of the National Health Commission, visited the University of Macau (UM) today (16 September) and was warmly received by Yonghua Song, rector of UM. The two parties had in-depth discussions and exchanges on the promotion of the Chinese medicine and big health industry in Macao.
Song said that UM is committed to supporting Macao’s economic diversification and the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. He also highlighted the functions and objectives of the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine (SKL-QRCM) and the Ministry of Education Frontiers Science Center for Precision Oncology (FSCPO) of UM. Cao gave full recognition of UM’s achievements in cutting-edge research and industry-academia collaboration, and expressed hope that the university will make persistent efforts to contribute to the high-quality development of the Chinese medicine and big healthy industry in Macao, the Greater Bay Area, and even the whole country. The delegation also visited the University Gallery, FSCPO, and SKL-QRCM.
