A delegation led by Cesar Martins, Executive Vice-Rector of Sao Paulo State University (UNSEP), visited the University of Macau (UM) on 1 September and was warmly received by Rui Martins, Vice Rector of UM. The two parties engaged in in-depth discussions on enhancing academic cooperation, promoting research projects, and facilitating faculty and student exchanges, with the aim of establishing a long-term and effective partnership.
Martins introduced the latest developments at UM, with particular emphasis on the progress and future plans for the campus in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone. He highlighted UM’s active efforts to expand its network of partnerships with universities in Portuguese-speaking countries and its commitment to cultivating bilingual talent with a global perspective.
The delegation also visited the University Gallery and Wu Yee Sun Library, expressing high praise for the campus infrastructure and international academic environment. Both parties agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding and explore the establishment of a dual-doctoral degree programme.
