A UM delegation has recently participated in 71st International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (I.A.E.S.T.E.) Annual Conference in Berlin, Germany. Approximately 300 delegates from more than 80 countries and regions worldwide exchanged internship offers and had in-depth discussion on the development of the association as well as on global and regional cooperation.
The Annual Conference this year is organized by IAESTE Germany, from 18 to 25 January. The UM delegation, composed of GAO staff and FST professor, obtained 22 internship offers for UM students and participated in conference sessions and social events.
UM joined the Association as “IAESTE China/Macao SAR” and is currently an associate member. The IAESTE Programme and its related activities are managed by Global Affairs Office. It is aimed to offer overseas internship opportunities to undergraduate and post-graduate students from FHS, FST and ICMS. As of 2017, close to 130 UM students have partaken internship in overseas universities and companies through the programme.
