On February 6, UM Rector Song Yonghua was invited to attend “the 2018 Times Higher Education Asia Universities Summit”, which was co-organized by Southern University of Science and Technology in Shenzhen. Rector Song shared his vision of university management with the theme of “Connecting cities, changing the world: research universities building Asia.” A numerous university rectors and presidents also attended the summit including Peking University, Hong Kong University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Nanyang Technological University, National University of Singapore, University of Washington, University of Queensland, Imperial College London and other well-known universities. At the summit, Rector Song addressed that University of Macau has been working hard to cultivate talented people and devoted to Macao and cooperating with the government of Macao SAR to implement the national development strategies as well as cooperating in the proposal of Greater Bay Area. Under the background of “one center and one platform,” UM expanded its cooperation with Lusophone countries.
