On February 22, Mr. Benjamin Cabouat, Consul for Culture, Education and Science of the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, and his delegation paid a courtesy visit to UM and was warmly received by Librarian Wu Jianzhong, Director of Global Affairs Wang Ruibing and other UM representatives.
During the meeting, Prof. Wang Ruibing expressed that the visit by the French Consulate was a good opportunity for UM to reconnect with our existing French partner institutions, cooperate with other French institutions, strengthen student exchanges and expand cooperation in variety of research fields. It was proposed to organize study abroad and scholarship talks, as well as different activities to promote academic and cultural exchanges between Macao and France.
After the meeting, the delegation had a campus tour and visited the University Library. Librarian Wu Jianzhong showed some of the French publications to the delegation in the Rare Collection Room. Members of delegation included Camélia Aissat, Attaché (Educational and Linguistics Affairs), Inès Maingault, Attaché (Culture), Lise Maillard-Salin, Attaché (Culture) and Wayne Leung, Head of Campus France.
