On 22 November 2017, a delegation from Guizhou Province led by Chairman Wang Fuyu visited the University of Macau. The delegation was warmly received by Rector Wei Zhao and Vice Rector (Academic Affairs) Lionel Ni, the delegation visited Wu Yee Sun Library, University Gallery and Lui Che Woo College.
The delegation includes Mr. Li Yuecheng, Secretary-General of Guizhou CPPCC, Mr. Huo Jiankang, Director of Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan & Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee of Guizhou CPPCC and other guests. The delegation visited Wu Yee Sun Library, the University Gallery, and Lui Che Woo College, College Master Yip Ming Chuen introduced the operation and living environment of RC system. The delegation also met with Rector Wei Zhao, Vice Rector (Academic Affairs) Lionel Ni and Interim Director of Global Affairs Carol Wong to discuss the possible cooperation between Guizhou Province and UM.
Wang praised University of Macau for its academic atmosphere, campus facilities and the elite faculty and research and hope that University of Macau will achieve greater success in the future.
