A delegation from Xiamen University, led by its president Zhang Rong, recently visited the University of Macau (UM) and was warmly received by UM Rector Yonghua Song. Both parties had an in-depth discussion on strengthening academic and research collaboration between the two universities. Song told the guests about UM’s history, academic structure, campus facilities, direction of future development, and the four reasons that make UM a unique university: its location in a special administrative region, its special mission, special status, and a unique model of education. The delegation visited the UM Gallery, the university library, and the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI.
