As one of the participating institutions in Macao SAR, University of Macau has sent and received students, professors and administrators to/from higher education institutions in Europe.
The visiting fellowships at Clare Hall, University of Cambridge started in 2006 on the purpose of facilitating academic members in UM to conduct research and academic collaboration with world-leading scholars and researchers in Clare Hall, University of Cambridge. Clare Hall is a graduate college in the University of Cambridge with a reputation of internationally diverse and intellectually dynamic centre for advanced studies which attracts visiting scholars from universities around the world.
Under this programme, the University of Macau sends two Visiting Fellows per academic year (each at a different 6-month period) to Clare Hall, University of Cambridge.
Harvard-Yenching Institute Visiting Scholars Program offers faculty members in the humanities and social sciences (not limited to China Studies or East Asian Studies) the opportunity to undertake 10 months of study and research at Harvard University and/or other appropriate universities.
Scholars are provided with a monthly stipend and individual medical insurance coverage while at the Institute.
GAO will announce call for applications, and interested faculty members should submit their applications to GAO for nomination assessment. Faculty members who are officially nominated by UM will then make their applications through the HYI online application system.
