A delegation from Global Affairs Office (GAO) participated in the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) conference and exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 25 to 28 March 2019. As one of the exhibitors, the delegation set up a booth to promote UM and held meetings with scholars and professionals in the education sectors from various countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific Region.
The theme of the APAIE Conference this year is “Diversity and Inclusivity of Higher Education in the Asia-Pacific”. It has been reported that around 2000 delegates from more than 60 countries and regions participated in the one-week event.
APAIE is one of the most widely-recognized platforms for scholars and practitioners in higher education to enhance mutual communication and foster cooperation. The conference and exhibition is an annual event for educators to link up with each other and discuss international higher education development. The APAIE Conference and Exhibition next year will be held in Vancouver, Canada, with Simon Fraser University as the main host.
