On 24 March 2022, Mr. Eduardo Velasco Galiano, Consul General of the Consulate General of Angola in Macau, paid a courtesy visit to the University of Macau and was warmly received by Prof. Rui Martins, Vice Rector (Global Affairs) of UM.
Prof. Rui Martins introduced the development of the University of Macau and briefed the current situation of Angolan students studying at UM. The Consul General expressed that they would support UM’s international student recruitment promotion and encouraged more Angolan students to study at UM. In addition, the Consul General stated that a member of the Angolan government would like to visit Macau and UM after the epidemic. Prof. Martins expressed his welcome and suggested to visit the State Key Laboratories of UM to gain a better understanding of UM’s scientific research achievements, hoping to strengthen bilateral cooperation in higher education.
