On April 4, Cao Dewang, chairman of Fuyao Group, visited University of Macau (UM). Cao spoke highly of UM’s academic environment and its “four-in-one” model of collaborative education.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Yonghua Song, rector of UM; Wong Kei, director of Rector’s Office; and Wang Yitao, director of Macao Centre for Research and Development in Chinese Medicine. During their meeting at the University Gallery, Song introduced the history, academic structure, campus construction and development of UM, as well as the four reasons that make UM a unique university. Cao then visited the UM Wu Yee Sun Library, Ma Man Kei and Lo Pak Sam College, and State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City respectively. Cao spoke highly of UM’s achievements, especially the successful adoption of residential college system and the development of scientific research.
