Salvatore Mancuso, a professor from the University of Palermo in Italy, visited the University of Macau and was warmly received by Rui Martins, vice-rector of UM. During the visit, both parties had in-depth discussions on strengthening substantial cooperation between the two universities, and affirmed to foster the implementation of the MOU.

Martins pointed out that UM is committed to developing a high-quality international cooperation network and places great importance on talent cultivation. The two universities have already initiated student exchange programs in the field of law, and the signing of the MOU marks the establishment of broader academic and cultural exchanges between the two universities. Mancuso looks forward to further strengthening cooperation in research and exchanges between staff and students.

Additionally, both parties had in-depth discussions on launching a dual PhD degree program and reached a consensus to jointly promote its establishment. This visit laid the foundation for deepening cooperation between the two universities and will further advance the cultivation of high-calibre talents.
