On 26 October 2010, Dr. Glenn Shive, Executive Director of Hong Kong American Center, together with 7 visiting Fulbright scholars from Hong Kong, met with Vice Rector Ho (Academic Affairs), who presented to the scholars the latest development of UM, and Prof. Rik D’Amato and Mr. T. Lam of Center for Learning and Teaching Enhancement, who illustrated the general education plan of UM. Fulbright scholars shared opinion towards residential college system and general education program.
