A delegation from Henan Province Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine led by Vice Director Zhu Guang, accompanied by the Vice Chair of University Council Lei Pui Lam, 23 Nov visited the University of Macau (UM). The delegation was warmly received by UM Rector Yonghua Song, Director of Rector’s Office Carol Wong, and Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences (ICMS) Deputy Director Chen Xin. In addition to an in-depth discussion on academic exchange and research collaboration between the two parties. Song introduced the guests about UM’s history, academic structure, campus facilities, direction of future development, and the four reasons that make UM a unique university: its location in a special administrative region, its special mission, special status, and a unique model of education.
The delegation visited UM’s State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine and learned about the lab’s achievements in recent years. Deputy Director Chen Xin introduced the guests the academic and research achievement of the State Key Lab. Zhu praised UM for its research and academic development, especially the area of Chinese Medicine technology, and look forward to developing the academic exchanges and cooperation.
