The Global Affairs Office attended the “2025 NAFSA Annual Conference & Expo” in San Diego, California, USA, from May 26 to 29 – to further strengthen exchanges with international partners and expand the global higher education cooperation network.
As one of the participating institutions, the University of Macau (UM) set up a dedicated booth at the venue to showcase its distinctive education system, research development strategy, and achievements in internationalization. The booth attracted many international education professionals for in-depth exchanges. In addition, UM representative met with scholars and higher education professionals from various countries and regions to explore opportunities for educational and research collaboration.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Purpose, Place, and Partnership,” attracted around 8,000 participants from over 110 countries and regions. The week-long event featured exhibitions, seminars, and other activities.
Since its establishment in the United States in 1948, NAFSA has grown into the world’s largest international education association, with over 10,000 members. The association is dedicated to promoting cooperation and exchange in the field of international higher education through annual conferences, educational exhibitions, and professional forums, fostering interaction among educators.
